Gareth's brother Mark had a surprise 40th birthday party in Torquay. We all arrive at the Marstan Hotel in Torquay late on the Friday night so that we could surprise him at breakfast the next morning. His face was a picture, but sadly as my brain was still in bed there was no camera and therefore no picture.
However I made up for it for the next two days....
After a brilliant full English breakfast we went to England's highest water fall, Canonteign Falls...

Then back to relax at the hotel and further surprise guests in the evening...

Phillip and Stephen, ably assisted by Jonathan and co, made our stay at the Marstan Hotel really relaxed and better hosts you couldn't find. If you are ever down that way and need somewhere to stay we can hole heartedly recommend it.
Then on Sunday it was off to look at Gareth's Mum's field on West Hill, near Exeter...
Then Otterton Mill for some lunch...
....and finally a walk near Woodbury Castle....
...a brilliant birthday weekend.
